South Carolina’s Education Lottery was established in 2001. Since its establishment, proceeds from ticket sales, interest and unclaimed prizes have generated on average more than $300 million annually. These funds are used to support the state’s scholarship programs (LIFE, HOPE and Palmetto Fellows) as well as many other educational-related programs.
