The End-User Computing Devices Standard is the first information technology (IT) standard established and deployed for the statewide IT Shared Services initiative. The standard provides state agencies with a set of common traits, characteristics and specifications for devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones. Creating a common set of standards for end-user computing devices is expected to produce a wide range of benefits for the state and individual agencies. Work is underway to develop other IT-related standards.
