Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of state laws governing the search and excavation of archaeological specimens. Knowledge of archaeological search, recovery and cataloging techniques. Skill in the maintenance of equipment used in search and excavation activities. Ability to research documents for pertinent historical data.

Special Requirements

Some positions engaged in underwater archaeological activities will require diving instructor certifications.

Minimum Requirements

A high school diploma and experience in archaeological research activities.
