Directs and coordinates the supply units of a large state agency, including receiving, storage, distribution, maintenance, and ancillary supply and service activities.

This is a supervisory class.

Examples of Work

Manages the functions and activities of a large, diverse supply and service operation. Develops and administers the supply and service operating budget. Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures. Serves as vendor and customer liaison for the agency in supply and service matters. Solicits input from subordinates and customers for the improvement of supply and service operations; serves on agency committees to accomplish such improvements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of supply practices and procedures. Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures. Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures applicable to property and inventory Ability to train subordinate employees. Ability to oversee the work of others. Ability to communicate effectively.

Minimum Requirements

A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment to include supervisory work experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for work experience.
