Directs the scheduling and execution of administrative data processing systems; enforces the quality and production standards for jobs which are run on an administrative services system.
Supervises production services, including database security, key entry, job scheduling and messenger services. Works with systems analysts and other technical staff to update systems and develop formats for data submission and guidelines for the quality control of data. Assigns projects and directs the design of systems; supervises and reviews programming and related data processing procedures. Assists in the writing and preparation of procedural manuals.
Knowledge of relevant computer programming languages, the use of job control language and systems development. Knowledge of the operations of computers and related information technology equipment. Knowledge of office practices and procedures. Ability to coordinate and schedule the work of others. Ability to communicate effectively.
An associate degree in computer science and experience in computer systems and programming activities.
