Assists with activities related to counseling to include assessment, consultation and referral for clients needing mental health services.
The term “client” is used within the context of this specification to identify individuals institutionalized, individuals incarcerated and individuals seeking social services.
Assists with collecting, organizing, and recording information about clients through interviews or observation. Helps maintain all required treatment records and reports. Maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment. Provides instruction and direction to clients. Assists in evaluating the effectiveness of counseling programs. Administers and interprets standardized tests. Observes clients for unusual behavior. Conducts presentations for community groups.
