Performs professional duties in the creation and maintenance of accounting records the verification and documentation of financial transactions or the preparation and management of agency budgets.
This class is intended for use at the journey level of the accounting/fiscal analyst profession. Some positions have supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledge of state government fiscal and accounting processes. Knowledge of the organization and capital structure of public utilities and of the methods and procedures used in the financing of major extensions to utilities' operations. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Knowledge of state laws and regulations pertaining to banks and banking. Knowledge of credit and commercial financial lending practices. A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance or commercial lending.
