This is the senior class in data collection, production, reporting and delivery. Positions in this class manage these functions and may supervise data coordinators and key entry personnel. Senior Data Coordinators have a more extensive and technical exposure to data processing systems, requiring knowledge of the software and hardware used in data coordination.
Manages the collection, formatting and editing of data for management information reports. Develops and revises forms used for data collection and reporting. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data. Coordinates system uses and operations between data processing staff and agency users. Identifies system or equipment problems resulting in the inaccurate or incomplete production of data. Develops staff and production schedules. Assigns production and report priorities. Oversees preventative maintenance, care and security of equipment. Provides user training and assistance.
Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of computer systems. Knowledge of computer programming techniques and computer software. Ability to analyze complex data and data collection and develop methods to obtain accurate, useful output. Ability to design and modify report forms. Ability to coordinate and schedule work between user groups. Ability to train and assist staff in the use of systems. Ability to direct the work of subordinate personnel.
A high school diploma and work experience in collecting, scheduling, processing and reporting information in a data processing environment.
