The combined mission of Admin’s Office of Technology and Information Services (OTIS) and the Division of Information Security (DIS) is to facilitate the delivery of technology, security and privacy-related services and solutions to governmental entities throughout the state while seeking to improve its services in the most secure, efficient and cost-effective manner.

Cloud computing is the on-demand delivery of computing resources such as servers, software, storage and databases offered over the internet and managed by a third-party provider.
The South Carolina Cloud Services, the first such offering of its kind at this level in the state, uses a secure, reliable, agile and cost-effective platform to provide a wide variety of benefits for participating agencies. Such benefits include reduced IT costs, operational excellence and an emphasis on innovation and enhanced accessibility.
The Department of Administration provides a variety of secure, reliable and cost-effective information technology (IT) shared services and infrastructure that ultimately empower agencies to deliver more responsive services to the citizens of South Carolina.
IT Shared Services offered include Workplace Services, Network Services, Hosting Services, Enterprise Storage Services and a host of Admin-brokered services.
Admin’s Service Desk provides a single point of contact for reporting and facilitating all IT-related service requests, issues and outages. Service Desk representatives are ready to serve 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week, 365 days-a-year and may be reached via email or phone call.

The South Carolina Statewide 800 MHz Radio and Mobile Data System, known commonly as Palmetto 800, is a cost-shared public/private partnership between state government, local governments, power utilities and Motorola Solutions, Inc. The system is a Motorola P25 - 7.71 Core.
The goals of the shared Palmetto 800 system are to provide public safety grade statewide coverage, enhance statewide interoperability and provide agencies with a superior communications technology at economical price to meet their public safety communications needs.

Standards and Guidelines
The following documents outline the state’s standards for information security and privacy incident response and guidelines for developing agency incident response plans.
Admin's Division of Information Security (DIS) is responsible for a variety of statewide policies, standards, programs and services related to cybersecurity and information systems, including the statewide coordination of critical infrastructure information.
The Enterprise Privacy Office (EPO), which is part of the Division of Information Security, is responsible for advising state agencies on managing personal information, as well as establishing, assessing and enhancing privacy protection policy, training and compliance measures.
