SRS Settlement Fund Allocations

The Executive Budget Office is responsible for the disbursement of the Savannah River Site Litigation Settlement Funds as allocated via the FY 2022-23 Appropriations Act, Proviso 118.19 (72). Counties in which the projects are located must submit a written request for funds appropriated in the county to the Executive Budget Office. Prior to the disbursal of funds, the Executive Budget Office will report each request for disbursement to the Joint Bond Review Committee and the legislative delegation representing that county.

Request for Interim Authorization Increase

The authorization to expend Other Funds (agency-generated revenue from fees for services) and Federal Funds is included in each agency’s budget during the appropriations process. During a fiscal year, an agency may determine it needs an increase in Other Funds or Federal Funds authorization over and above what was included in the Appropriations Act that cannot be addressed by transferring existing authority from another program in their budget.

Agency Accountability Reports

State law requires each state agency to submit an annual accountability report to the Governor and General Assembly that must contain the agency’s mission, objectives to accomplish the mission and performance measures that show the degree to which objectives are being met. The information contained in each agency’s report is used to aid decision-makers in their analysis of each agency’s budget.
